Our Tannoy Arena sub has been booming away for nearly 3 years now without fail...its been one of those “fit & forget” items that’s just looked pretty in the corner of the room &, well, sounds like a sub should do.
Thing is, I can’t remember when it stopped working....We were just getting ready the other night & I cranked up the getting-ready-music....nothing. No lights, no sound....nothin’!
Anyways, I changed the plug fuse, tried another socket, swore at it...still nothing. Nearly two weeks later, got some free time on my hands so out with the screwdrivers (out of warranty...

We finally got a chillout day! Monday we had an award-winning lie in followed by a day at the pool. At first, grabbing sunloungers and marking our territory with towels felt quite European...could quite easily be in Spain. Then when you chill out on said lounger, you’re towered over by skyscrapers & the sound of the biggest city in Canada battles to drown out the iPod. And its extremely relaxing! For people who are used to grabbing powernaps by next to revving VW engines & jet cars, this is bliss.
Then the big finale....Niagara....
We had such big plans for the day....out at the crack...

Toronto is awesome. No way else to describe it...just our kind of city I guess because not everyone is of the same opinion. Hotel room on the 28th floor has a superb view of the CN tower (much more impressive by night than by day).
After a day of not a lot yesterday, we got hold of tickets for a Blue Jays game (off season for hockey so have got to go see something). The whole experience is superb & we made sure we did the entire cliche...hotdog + beer + popcorn. ‘Jays got a result as well which was pure bonus!
Must mention a tip to anyone who honeymoons over here (long shot but you never...

I had to do this. Sat on a coach taking us from Toronto airport to Downtown & our final hotel. OMG...WiFi on a coach! & power sockets on the seat in front! Genius! If anyone has to take an internal flight in Canada, can I recommend Westjet? The flight attendants are simply brilliant brightening an otherwise mundane happening such as a 4 hour flight with commentary such as “Pull the oxygen mask over your hair & snouts” & “Please remain seated until the captain parks this bad boy up”...simply brilliant. I would put more down but am afraid of a “had to be there”...

Vancouver airport & to crush our breakfast plans (which is now verging on addiction) NO STARBUCKS!!! I think the “Green Bean Cafe” actually makes their coffee from beans...Harrumph!So Vancouver...the best thing about Vancouver is it changed our minds about Vancouver. 1st impressions were a little scary, but then we did land ourselves right in the heart of Downtown & we weren’t sure on if we were going to enjoy it.Couple of days later once we’ve sampled the delights of areas such as Granville Island & North Vancouver & we’re well & truly sad to leave. I think a return...
