First ride & something tells me the tyre choice was wrong...Totally clogged up by North Wales finest goop! Still, the weather held up & made for a glorious ride. I appeared to have forgot to pack fitness & nerve though (maybe something to do with stacking it on my first run due to muddified front wheel doing its own thing) but I'm sure some practice will sort that out.
After getting mauled by some proper border collies (emabrassing as one near took my shorts clean off!) not a soul up the mountain. Just brilliant, if a little spooky.
Always good to discover some new routes as well....

Finished watching Wonders of the Solar System on BBC 2 & I'm amazed at how much I learned (like how the Aurora Borealis is caused). And its a bonus of course to hear that they don't think the sun is set to switch off any day soon...that reassurance is always nice.
Really worth catching it on iPlayer & the series continues next Sunday... Read the BBC site on this here

Its interesting. Something like the modern-day equivalent of being compelled to touch a wall marked "Wet Paint" perhaps, but for some reason it seems that rules, advice, guidelines etc just don't apply to us. I mean, we know they exist but they don't actually apply to us
We started seeing this a lot at the beginning of the year with the bad weather. "Stay at home...only travel if absolutely necessary" said the news bulletins. And the roads were full (I was one of the queueing crazy ones before this sounds like a soapbox rant).
Even the hospitals announced that people should only come...
